HISTORY
1996: Organisation Development Centre (ODC),
and Sansthagat Bikas Consultancy Kendra (SBCK), were established
by five dedicated individuals who believed that organisations
in the South needed a behavioural based value-laden learning
institution
ODC continues to be a behavioural based learning centre catering
to the needs of organisations in the development and service
sectors in Nepal. ODC has focused on consultancy, capacity
development, organisation development for national and international
organisations. SBCK primarily focuses on capacity building
of rural community organisations.
The two organisations have served several hundred organisations
and communities in the South through the provision of tried
and tested learning and support programmes.
2004: To strengthen organisations in the
South and enhance their capacity to deliver to their constituents,
the founders of ODC and SBCK decided to establish a new institution
dedicated solely to education, research, knowledge sharing
and policy advice in development management. Institute of
Development and Management Studies (IDMS) was established.
2004: ODC Inc. was established as the corporate
headquarters of the three organisations. Since its inception
ODC Inc. has earned an excellent reputation as a centre for
the provision of valued management and organisational services
to national and international organisations. |
