  Guidelines for contributing articles  
         
 
magazine addresses issues of development and management in developing countries. The team of magazine constantly seeks new ideas to improve the quality and content of the magazine. Each issue has articles, reports, opinions, research, interviews and much more on development, management, organisation behaviour, innovative solutions and social issues which are relevant to the changing times we are living in. The contributor can choose to write in any of the aforementioned subjects or if he/she chooses, can write on some other management or development issue they feel strongly about. We accept presentations as well.

However, please abide by the following guidelines while submitting your articles:

Length: 2000-3000 words (articles exceeding this length will only be considered under special circumstances).

Format: The texts must be typed in 'Times New Roman', 12 font size (NO ITALICS). Use British English.
Citation and Reference Style: Please follow the Harvard style for all your citations and references.

For example:
In text citation: Author's name cited in the text

When making reference to an author's work in your text their name is followed by the year of publication of their work, in brackets (parentheses) and forms part of the sentence:

Cormack (1994, pp.32-33) states that 'when writing for a professional readership, writers invariably make reference to already published works'.

In general, when writing for a professional publication, it is good practice to make reference to other relevant published work. This view has been supported in the work of Cormack (1994, pp.32-33).


Citation for a Reference list and Bibliography: Books

The required elements for a book reference are:

Author, Initials/first name., Year. Title of book. Edition. (only include this if not the first edition) Place: Publisher.

Redman, P., 2006. Good essay writing: a social sciences guide. 3rd ed. London: Open University in assoc. with Sage.

Baron, David P., 2008. Business and the organisation. 6th ed. Chester (CT): Pearson.


Please follow the Harvard Style for referencing all other forms of resource as well.

Relevant images/photographs: Relevant images/photographs must be at 300dpi at a minimum width of 4 inches and those must be sent in TIFF format. Please metion the credits and captions in different Microsoft Word/Notepad file.

Hard copies of submitted photographs should be of high quality in a recommended size of 5 inches by 7 inches. Please mention the credits and captions on the back of the hard copies.

Details about the author: Manuscript must contain a brief description of the author including his/her designation, organisation for which he/she works for or would like to be associated with, and information such as e-mail and telephone number.

We accept both soft and hard copies of articles although soft copies are highly recommended. If the article contains extensive graphs, charts or diagrams, please submit them in soft copy.

The magazine has been a quarterly magazine and will now be published on a monthly basis from April 2010. Please submit your article at least one month before the publishing month.

The Editor reserves the right to reject, edit, and adjust all contributions. No remuneration is paid or charges levied for contributions.
